Tijdzone converter: what does it do?
Tijdzone converter changes a date and time from one region into the matching local time in other regions. Choose the source city, add comparison zones, and see clock times with GMT offsets plus next-day or previous-day notes.
Zo werkt het
- 1Choose the source time. Enter the date and local clock time you want to convert.
- 2Pick the source zone. Select the city or IANA time zone where that time happens.
- 3Add target zones. Keep the default comparison cities or add your own from the time-zone list.
- 4Copy the schedule. Use Copy schedule to paste the converted times into an email, document or calendar note.
Voor wie
- Remote meetings when New York, London, Paris and Tokyo need one shared slot.
- Webinars and launches where the same event time must be posted for several regions.
- Travel planning before flights, hotel check-ins and calls across home and destination zones.
- Operations handoffs for support, engineering or sales teams working across shifts.
- UTC checks when logs or calendar systems use GMT offsets instead of city names.
Tijdzone converter runs entirely in your browser and uses modern IANA time-zone data. Use it for meetings, remote teams, webinars, travel planning and UTC checks when daylight saving time can change the offset.
Veelgestelde vragen
Is my meeting time uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs in your browser. The date, time and zones you choose are not sent to a server or stored in an account.
Is the time zone converter free?
Yes. It is free to use with no sign-up, no download and no limit on how many time-zone comparisons you make.
Does it handle daylight saving time?
Yes. The tool uses browser IANA time-zone rules for the exact date you enter. That means New York, London, Sydney and other daylight-saving regions can have different GMT offsets in winter and summer.
Why should I choose a city instead of EST or PST?
City-based zones know when daylight saving starts and ends. Abbreviations such as EST, EDT, PST and PDT can be ambiguous, so America/New_York or America/Los_Angeles gives a safer answer.
Can I convert to UTC or GMT?
Yes. Choose UTC as either the source zone or a target zone. The result also shows each zone's GMT offset, such as GMT+01:00 or GMT-04:00.
What does next day or previous day mean?
It means the converted time lands on a different calendar date than the source time. For example, a late evening call in California can already be the next day in Europe or Asia.
How accurate are the results?
Modern browsers ship the IANA time-zone database and update it with the browser or operating system. Results are accurate for normal scheduling, but recently changed government rules may require an updated browser.
