Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Your browser reads, crops, previews, and exports the image on your device. CanDoYa does not receive the selected photo or the resulting PNG, although normal site analytics may still record that the page was visited.
Is the circle crop tool free?
Yes. You can make and download round images without an account, subscription, watermark, or usage quota. Your device memory and browser capabilities set the practical limit for unusually large images.
What image formats and limits are supported?
The tool accepts JPG, PNG, and WebP files up to 50 MB. Images may be up to 16,384 pixels on either side and 50 megapixels total. It exports a transparent PNG from 32 to 4096 pixels square.
How do I make a round profile picture?
Add your photo, drag the circle until the face is centered, adjust the diameter to leave some breathing room, and choose a suitable output size. Create the crop, inspect the preview, then download the transparent PNG for your profile.
Why does the downloaded file still have square dimensions?
PNG files use rectangular pixel canvases. The pixels outside the circular photo are transparent, so the visible image is round even though its file dimensions are square. Apps that support transparency will show the background through those corners.
What output size should I choose?
A 512 by 512 pixel PNG is a practical default for most online avatars. Choose 256 pixels for small web use or 1024 pixels when you want more detail for high-density screens, presentations, or future resizing.
Can I crop a logo into a circle?
Yes. Position the frame around the logo and leave enough space near the edge, especially if the destination adds a border. Exporting as PNG keeps the corners transparent and preserves transparent areas already present in the source image.
