Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. Your browser reads, rotates, previews, and exports the image on your device. CanDoYa does not receive the selected file or the rotated result, although normal site analytics may still record that the page was visited.
Is this image rotator free?
Yes. You can rotate images without an account, subscription, watermark, or download limit. The practical limit is the memory and canvas capacity available in your browser, especially for high-resolution photos.
What image formats and limits are supported?
The rotator accepts PNG, JPEG, and WebP images up to 50 MB, with each source side no larger than 16,384 pixels and no more than 50 megapixels total. It exports PNG, JPEG, or WebP when your browser supports that format.
Can I rotate an image by a custom number of degrees?
Yes. Enter or choose any angle from -180 to 180 degrees. Negative values rotate counterclockwise and positive values rotate clockwise. The output canvas expands automatically, so the corners remain inside the saved image.
How do I rotate a picture 90 degrees?
Add the picture and select Rotate left or Rotate right. Each press changes the angle by 90 degrees and updates the preview. Select Rotate 180 to turn an upside-down photo in one step, then create and download the result.
Does rotating an image reduce its quality?
The tool keeps the source pixel dimensions, but saving creates a new image file. PNG uses lossless encoding, while JPEG and WebP quality settings can discard some detail. Custom angles also resample pixels along diagonal edges, so a small amount of edge smoothing is normal.
Can I keep a transparent background?
Yes. Choose PNG to preserve transparency in the source and in the corner areas created by a custom rotation. WebP can also preserve transparency in supported browsers. JPEG cannot store transparent pixels, so those corners are filled with white.
