The browser downloads a WebAssembly build of FFmpeg only when you start an export. Because FFmpeg's reverse filters must hold the complete clip in memory, short or moderate videos work best. The conservative file limit is 50 MB on mobile or lower-memory devices, 150 MB on a typical desktop, and 300 MB on high-memory desktops.

Is my video uploaded when I reverse it?

No. Your browser reads the selected file and a WebAssembly video engine creates the reversed result inside this tab. The engine code downloads when first needed, but your source clip and completed output are not sent to CanDoYa or stored in an account.

Is this online video reverser free and watermark-free?

Yes. You can reverse, preview, and download a video without an account, subscription, credit limit, or watermark. The practical limits come from the memory and processing speed available on your device rather than a paid server export tier.

How large a video can I reverse in the browser?

The conservative limit is 50 MB on mobile or lower-memory devices, 150 MB on a typical desktop, and 300 MB on high-memory desktops. File size is only a guide because decoded resolution, frame count, and duration determine how much memory the reverse filter needs.

Can I reverse a video with sound?

Yes. Choose Reverse video and audio to apply FFmpeg's reverse filter to the picture and its areverse filter to the first soundtrack. Both tracks keep the same duration, so backward sound stays synchronized. If the source has no readable audio track, the output remains silent.

Can I reverse the video but remove its audio?

Yes. Choose Remove audio before exporting. The tool reverses the picture and leaves every audio stream out of the new file. This option works well for visual transitions, reaction clips, and footage that will receive a different soundtrack later.

Should I export the reversed video as MP4 or WebM?

Choose MP4 for the broadest support in browsers, phones, social apps, and presentation software. Choose WebM when you prefer an open web format or plan to use the result on a website. Both formats re-encode the picture so the reverse motion is baked into the file.

Why can reversing a long video use so much memory?

A reverse filter must buffer the complete stream before it can output the last frame first. The browser also holds the source file, FFmpeg engine, decoded frames, and encoded result. Trim a long source first or use desktop editing software when the clip exceeds the device limit.
