This generator follows the Sitemap protocol 0.9 structure: one <urlset>, one <url> entry per page, and a required <loc> value. It normalizes complete web URLs, percent-encodes non-ASCII paths, escapes XML characters in query strings, removes duplicates, and flags mixed origins before export.

The tool builds XML from URLs you already know. It does not crawl your site or decide which pages should be indexed. Include canonical, indexable pages you want search engines to discover, then upload the file to your site and submit its URL through the search engine tools you use.

No. This tool converts the URL list you paste and makes no network requests to crawl pages. A crawler can discover links automatically, while this generator is useful when you already have a route export, canonical URL list, or migration inventory.

Do I need changefreq and priority in sitemap.xml?

No. The location tag is the only required value for each URL. Change frequency and priority are optional hints, and major search engines may ignore them. Include them only when they help your own workflow; accurate URLs and last modified dates matter more.

Can one sitemap contain URLs from multiple domains?

No. A standard sitemap should contain URLs from one origin. This generator flags a different scheme, hostname, or port so it cannot be exported by accident. Create and host a separate sitemap for each origin.

Where should I put sitemap.xml?

Upload the file where your site can serve it, commonly at https://example.com/sitemap.xml. A sitemap normally covers URLs at or below its directory. You can then reference the complete sitemap URL in robots.txt and submit it in Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools.
