How can I extract pages from a PDF?

An extract PDF pages tool copies only the pages you select into a new PDF. Add your document, choose individual pages or enter ranges such as 1-3, 5, 8, then download the result. Processing happens in your browser, so the source file is not uploaded or changed.

Who it's for

  • Project teams can share only the approved pages from a longer report.
  • Students and researchers can save a chapter or a few cited pages as a smaller PDF.
  • Finance and operations teams can pull selected invoices, forms, or appendices from a document bundle.
  • Remote workers can prepare a focused handout without uploading confidential files to a conversion server.

Page extraction creates a separate document while leaving the source PDF untouched. The selected PDF page objects are copied instead of converted to screenshots, so text stays selectable and the original dimensions, vectors, and image quality are retained.

FAQ

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?

No. The browser reads your PDF and creates the extracted file locally on your device. The source document is not sent to CanDoYa for processing, which makes the tool useful for reports, contracts, and other files you do not want to upload.

Is it free to extract pages from a PDF?

Yes. You can select PDF pages and download the new document for free without creating an account. The tool does not add a watermark. Its practical limit is 100 MB and 500 pages per source file so browser processing remains responsive.

How many PDF pages can I extract?

You can extract one page, every page, or any selection from a PDF with up to 500 pages and a file size up to 100 MB. Very large or image-heavy documents may take longer because all work uses your device's memory and processor.

How do I enter non-consecutive page numbers?

Separate page numbers and ranges with commas. For example, 1-3, 5, 8 extracts pages 1, 2, 3, 5, and 8. Ranges must be ascending and pages appear once in the result even if your entries overlap.

Does extracting pages reduce PDF quality?

No raster conversion is used. The tool copies selected page objects into a new PDF, preserving their dimensions, text, vectors, and embedded images. The new file can have different internal metadata, but visible page quality is not deliberately compressed.

Can I extract pages from a password-protected PDF?

Not directly. Remove the password with software you trust, then add the unlocked PDF here. The tool rejects encrypted documents instead of attempting to bypass their security settings.

What is the difference between extracting and splitting a PDF?

Extraction combines your chosen pages into one new PDF. A PDF splitter usually creates several documents from ranges or divides every page into a separate file. Use extraction when you need one focused document containing selected pages.

Does this change my original PDF?

No. The original file stays unchanged on your device. The browser creates a separate downloadable PDF containing the pages you selected, so you can keep the source as your complete master copy.
